I'm so excited to finally have a copy of this book. (Through the Door to Sri Lanka) a country close to our hearts, with my husband being from Sri Lanka. Maggie has truly captured the colour and vibrancy of this little known tear drop country. Full of interesting facts, photos and written in a language suitable for school children. This is a great resource for children who love to learn about other cultures.

I was lucky enough to read both the picture book and the journal, and was extremely impressed by both! Maggie O has done a fantastic job of translating the colour, vibrancy and fun of Townsville extremely well into the pages of her books, which are engaging to flick through no matter how young or old you are. I love the creative ways our city's many attractions are showcased in unique ways, and the facts on each page giving all readers more of an insight into the region. Very excited to pass this piece of local history down the generations of my family!

Maggie O was brilliant in the classroom. She engaged the students with questions and had some wonderful art activities for students to complete.
